Huskn is a product line of plates, dinnerware and commercial packaging made 100% of compostable materials. We do not jsut distribute plates and bowls, but we intend to create the design and manufacture packaging for restaurant takeout. COVID changed all of us and coming out of 2020, there is no turning back. We are 3 friends, who among other things in common love to eat. After the pandemic, eating out transitioned to eating in. No dressing up, no parking or waiting for your table, instead you got your food from the door and commuted with it all the way to the table. The ease and comfort of this experience is undeniable. And it suggests the world is NEVER going back to the way things were. But what about the endless plastic containers stacking up from your favorite Indian, Mexican, Chinese or Japanese restaurant?
Huskn was born out of the guilt we felt, saying things like
"I want to eat great food, support my local restaurants, without using and throwing out more plastic."
As it turns out, street food in India has been served on banana leaves for generations, Mexican tamales are served and cooked in corn husks and in Malaysian countries its very common and cost effective to make dishes from areca tree directly. So why not in the US? We thought, and we quickly bought samples and a few presses and we kicked off the journey to bring Huskn to life.
Huskn offers a full range of plates, bowls and serving utensils made 100% of compostable materials. What are we working on?
Huskn first NEW product will be clamshell container made of Areca.
Huskn next product is leaf based packaging for liquids, sauces and condiments.
